Prof. Claudio Guarnaccia: "rejection rate in our WSEAS Conference 50%"
Dear WSEAS friends,
The conference in Salerno (sponsored by 3 Universities) is just ended and I am tired but very happy. I think that it was a great success, from every point of view. Just to give few numbers, we had 16 plenary speakers, about 130 papers accepted (as far as I understood, with a rejection rate of about 50% !), about 110 persons attending the conference, 15 volunteers helping in the secretariat and in the conference rooms.
The quality of the presentation was very high and each session had a great number of questions and discussions. The special sessions organized by Giacomo Viccione, Gennaro Cuccurullo, Michele Guida, Julia Griselda Ceron Breton, Domenico Guida, were a great success and let a lot of people know better WSEAS activities.
The social part was great too. I am happy that the participants enjoyed the venue and the beauties of Salerno and Amalfitan coast. The excursion to Pompei was really successful.
I would like to thank from the deep of my heart, all the WSEAS staff that supported this event. Even if sometimes we didn't understand each other, I think that all of us can be very proud of such a success. Finally a big thank to Prof. Nikos Mastorakis, a great man, that honoured us with his presence in Salerno.
I absolutely look forward to seeing you soon in Santorini Island for the CSCC14 conference!
With my best regards,
Prof. Claudio Guarnaccia, PhD |
P.S.: At the following links you can download the pictures and videos taken during the conference. They are sorted by day of conference. In addition, there is a "extra" archive and a group of pictures of the excursion. Please, consider that the "4 June" file is huge (more than 1 GB), because of the videos of the gala dinner. Also the "extra" file is large because of a video.
