Aim:

Industry 4.0 is a cutting-edge trend which is rapidly affecting the potential productivity of all industrial sectors. This is done through the establishment of a framework which embraces the concept of a smart digitalized environment wherein the control of physical and virtual objects is accomplished by integrated systems employing autonomous interconnectivity and interaction methods. Taking into consideration that Agriculture is recognized as one of the major sectors of primary industry, the adoption of the Industry 4.0 approach in the agricultural operations can be remarkably beneficial in terms of sustainability. More specifically, this adoption can lead to the optimization of production through efficient estimation and anticipation of the expected environmental and economic uncertainties and through successful implementation of the proper policy mechanisms regulating the usage of finite resources. In this context, a set of innovative technologies, combining among others Automation and Control Systems, Information Systems, the Internet of Things (IoT), Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS), Cloud Computing, enhanced Machinery, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML), is essential to be integrated and especially tailored for the agricultural sector.

This Special Issue aims to include original, high-quality research articles and review papers addressing recent advances in digital technologies and integrated systems for agriculture, in accordance with the guidelines for the operative implementation of Industry 4.0 and the objectives of sustainable policies.

How to submit:
You can upload your paper via the web site of the particular
WSEAS journal indicating in the Field: "Notes" the title of the Special Issue

Note that the Deadline for Paper submission is 31st December of 2021.
However the organizers review the papers and publish them in a continuous flow. You do not need to wait the acceptance of the other papers in your session to publish your paper. In case that your paper passes the first round of review (some times the second round of review), it can be published if you satisfy the reviewers' comments and remarks and the Editor-in-Chief decides that your paper You do not have to wait the peer review of the other papers in your Session.
