Basic Principles of the Planning of Cybersecurity Training

Abstract: As a result of the development of the digital economy and society, the Cyber-security became not only a technological problem, but includes a number of components such as regulatory, organizational, educational, psychological, and so on. The logic of the development of the counteraction against Cyber-security threats has led to international coherence, unification and standardization of all elements of the Cyberprotection, including the Cyber-security Training In order to achieve effectiveness and quality of the learning process, it is necessary to analyze the major global initiatives in the regulation, standardization and organization of the Cyber-security Training for the various target groups, to which this publication is dedicated. Thus the Faculty of Computer Systems and Technologies of the Technical University of Sofia has chosen a development strategy based on on the principles of the Education Continuum, the "Knowledge Areas" and "Application Areas".

Brief Biography of the Speaker: Roumen Trifonov graduated in 1990 as a MSc. Engineer in Computer Systems at Department of Computer Systems from Technical University of Sofia. He continue his education at Technical University of Sofia and obtained a PhD. degree as a Doctor in Artificial Intelligence Systems. Now he is a Professor at the Technical University of Sofia and Head of Department “Information Technologies in Industry”. His fields of research interests are artificial intelligence systems, information systems and information security. Prof. Trifonov is a member of Union of Automation and Informatics, Federation of Scientific Technical Unions in Bulgaria and a Chairman of Bulgarian Academic Society of Computer Systems and Information Technologies. He is an author of 8 books, 2 monographs and over 100 papers in the country and abroad. Prof. Trifonov participate or lead several scientific-research projects related to information security: one european GEANT project under the Horizon 2020 program, one national AI in Information Security project under National Science Fund and one university Network and Information Security project under Technical University of Sofia Science Sector. His international collaborations includes scientists from USA, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Greece, New Zealand, China and South Korea
