ABSTRACT: This article explored the role of Islamic banks in increasing the amount of domestic savings and funding the economic development process in Jordan during the period (2010-2019). A descriptive analytical approach was adopted. The data was obtained from the Association of Banks in Jordan. It was analyzed through carrying out the linear regression analysis. The researchers concluded that the assets of Jordanian Islamic banks increased. That indicates that there was an increase in the savings of Islamic banks. They found that the total credit facilities provided by Islamic banks to individuals and for all sectors have increased. They found that there is a positive significant relationship between the assets in Islamic banks from one hand and credit facilities from another hand. They recommend exerting effort to increase the savings of Islamic banks.
