Abstract:
The concept of
access control relates to permissions and obligations, which are represented
by rules in different granularities, and their enforcement achieved by
various operating systems, network software/hardware, and applications.
Involvement of different technologies, vendors, and standards make it hard
to provide a complete solution in access control for information systems.
Moreover, access control requirements started to change with the increased
development and use of large-scale, distributed, loosely coupled
applications, which run on open and complex environments. This talk will
reveal long-time existing access control approaches, declare new
requirements for access control and present new trends in the access control
field.
