Plenary Lecture
Numerical and Analytic Investigation of
Some Nonlinear Problems in Engineering Sciences

Professor Gabriella Bognar
University of Miskolc
HUNGARY
matvbg@uni-miskolc.hu
Abstract:
In this
talk we present theoretical and numerical results in connection with
quasilinear partial and ordinary differential equations. The investigated
nonlinear problems appear in the mathematical model of many problems in
physics and mechanics. The qualitative and quantitative properties of
solutions to quasilinear ordinary and partial differential equations are
examined.
To prove or disprove some of the conjectures require some massive numerical
experiments which helps to visualize some important facts and helps to make
appropriate decisions and to find optimal strategies.
