Brief Biography of the Organizer:

Egils Ginters is Professor of Information Technologies and director of Sociotechnical Systems Engineering Institute of the Vidzeme University College Latvia and Vice-Rector for Science and Research. He holds Dr. Sc. Ing. in 1996. Prof. Ginters was participant many of EC funded research projects: INCO Copernicus AMCAI 0312 (1994-1997), INCO Copernicus DAMAC-HP PL976012 (1998-2000), 5th Framework IST BALTPORTS-IT (2000-2003), 6th Framework IST eLOGMAR-M No.511285 (2004-2006) and coordinator of European Leonardo da Vinci programme project LOGIS LV-PP-138.003 (2000-2002), LOGIS MOBILE LV/B/F/PP-172.001 (2004-2006) and SocSimNet LV/B/F/PP-172.000 (2004-2006). He is a member of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), European Social Simulation Association (ESSA) and Latvian Simulation Society.
