Brief Biography of the Organizer:

Associate Professor Dr. Eng. Hassan S. M. Hedia, born in 1959, studied Mechanical Engineering at the Cairo University from 1976 to 1981. In 1996 he finished his MSc. and PhD. from Production Engineering at the Mansoura University and Leeds university at the UK. He is working now as an Associate Professor in the Production Engineering and Mechanical Design Systems Department within the Faculty of Engineering at the King Abdelaziz University at Saudia Arabia. His research activities cover the fields of stress analyses, fracture mechanics , optimum Design and Material Testing. He has published about thirty four papers in an international Journals and Conference. These journals are : J. Bio-Medical Materials and Engineering, J Biomed Mater Res Part B: Appl Biomater, International journal of mechanics and materials in design, International journal of Materialprufung (Material Testing), Engineering Fracture Mechanics.
