Brief Biography of
the Organizers:
Radu Ciprian Bilcu received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. from Technical
University of Cluj-Napoca, Romania in 1995 and 1996 respectively,
and the Dr.Tech degree from Tampere University of Technology,
Tampere, Finland in 2004. He has published over 30 papers in
international Journals and Conferences and holds 1 patent and 4
patent applications. From 1999 to 2004 he was a researcher at the
Institute of Signal Processing from Tampere University of Technology
where he was also involved in teaching. From 2004, Radu Ciprian
Bilcu joined Nokia Research Center as a research engineer in the
field of image processing. His research interests are: adaptive
systems, adaptive algorithms and applications to image processing,
communications, echo control, audio and speech.
Eniko Beatrice Bilcu received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. from Technical
University of Cluj-Napoca, Romania in 1994 and 1995 respectively,
and the Lic.Tech degree from Tampere University of Technology,
Tampere, Finland in 2006. She has published 10 papers in
international Conferences. From 2001 she is a researcher at the
Institute of Signal Processing from Tampere University of Technology
where she was also involved in teaching. Her research interests are:
neural networks and application of the neural networks to speech
processing.
