Brief Biography of the Organizer:

Prof. Maria Dulce Carlos Antunes received the B.Sc. in Agronomy from Evora University, the M.Sc. in from the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chania, Greece and Ph.D. from the University of Algarve, Portugal. She has published more than 100 papers in Journals and Conferences. She is a faculty member in the Agronomy department at the Faculty of Natural Resources in the Algarve University. Presently is head of the Post-harvest and Horticulture Laboratory, coordinating research projects on rural development. She is member of the International Society for Horticultural Science (ISHS), the world's leading, independent organization of horticultural scientists.
