Brief Biography of the Speaker:
She was borned in 1965 in Prague, Czechoslovakia. She studied 1983-1988 at the
Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University, Prague, Czechoslovakia
and in 1988 she got RNDr. degree at Faculty of Mathematics and Physics,Charles
University, Prague, CR. Then 1988-1991 she was Ph.D. student at the Czech
Technical University, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and in 1991 earned Ph.D.
at Faculty of Nuclear and Physical Engineering, CTU, Prague. She was 1991-1995
Assistant Professor at the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Mechanical
Engineering, Czech Technical University, Prague and now she is Research at
Department of evolution equations at the Mathematical Institute of the Czech
Academy of Sciences, Prague. She is working in partial differential equations,
precisely in mathematical modelling of fluid mechanics. She was invited in
several places as visiting professor and she gave around 20 invited lectures on
international conferences. She published 45 papers in international journals. In
2003 she got Wichterle prize for young researcher from Academy of Sciences of
the Czech Republic.
