Propose a Special Session

Special sessions are organised during conferences to raise visibility on topics of focused interest in a particular scientific or applications area. Comprising a number of papers focussed on a specific theme, which has been proposed by the Special Sessions chair/s, it's a great opportunity to address a topic with the right depth, giving it the proper visibility, and allowing also time for discussion and networking. A wide range of topics are possible, as long as they are directly related to the conference and concentrate on a specific area of interest without being too generic. We encourage you to submit a proposal on an area that in your eyes is important to the future of the field.

If you are a PhD holder interested in organizing a special session, send us an e-mail at evaluation{AT} stating the exact conference you are interested in, the title & topics of the session as well as a brief biography of yours. If your proposal is accepted, you can begin collecting papers for it either by setting up a web page or by personally contacting your colleagues. All papers must be submitted through the regular electronic submission process, either by you or the other participants, and the title & organizer of the session needs to be written in the appropriate filelds. A special session is considered successful only if at least 5 papers submitted to it are accepted by the reviewers and registered. If the total number of accepted and registered papers is less than five, they are assigned to regular sessions of the conference. Note the paper submission deadlines carefully before planning your session and be advised that all papers submitted to a special session are expected to be presented by the authors and chaired by the appointed organizer.
